Supporting Operation Purple Summer Camp (2025)
As always, a huge thank you to all those in the Wheatberry Construction family that supported this cause! And a special thanks to partnering vendors, like Atkins Paving in Fort Lauderdale, FL, who made corporate contributions to support the cause. We feel honored and privileged to be in a position to help, and that reach is extended by all your generous contributions.
2025 was the second annual Wheatberry Construction matching donation campaign to support the beautiful work of Camp Fire AK and the National Military Family Association’s “Operation Purple” summer camp. Hosted at Camp K in Cooper Landing AK, Alaska’s longest running, co-ed overnight camp that is nestled along the shores of Kenai Lake, Operation Purple is a summer camp designed and hosted specifically for the children of active duty military members. Casey and his former unit, the 611th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES), has maintained a relationship with Operation Purple for almost ten years now as the CES team brings a group down to camp to put the kids through an obstacle course, host a Q&A session, and support the children who are making sacrifices and serving alongside their parents.
We are thrilled to report that, thanks to the entire Wheatberry Family, we were able to raise and match $3,000.00, for a total of $6,000.00 donation to Operation Purple 2025. We thank everyone who was able to support and we continue to promise to carry on a legacy of supporting our military and our veterans.
